DIY — Build your own gyros for the next party

There is something special about food you make together. That is also why the kitchen on Tapperitorvet is open — so guests can still be part of the cooking.

We made Build Your Own Gyros because people asked for it. It gets people out of their chairs, talking, and sometimes competing for the neatest wrap. Informal, everyone can join, and it tastes like a Greek summer.

We deliver flame-grilled meat or vegetables, flatbread, salad, spread and paper so you can wrap your own gyros.

How it works

  • You choose the menu and the number of guests (one gyros each is plenty)
  • We prep and flame-grill the meat and vegetables and deliver everything
  • You warm it in the oven just before guests arrive

What comes with it

  • Single boxes for the wrapped gyros
  • Wrapping paper
  • Oil, salt and paprika
  • Flatbread / pita

Spreads and salad depend on the variant:

  • Grandpa (pork) / Cousin (lamb): tzatziki, onion and tomato
  • Himself (chicken): chili-yoghurt, tomato and iceberg
  • Wife (vegan): grilled pepper sauce, iceberg, onion and tomato

How to prepare it

1. Heat the meat or vegetables
Meat: 180°C for about 20–25 minutes.
Vegetables: 180°C for about 10 minutes.

2. Warm the bread
Pan: a little oil, both sides.
Oven: 190°C, 5–6 breads at a time for 5–7 minutes.

3. Set the buffet
Lay everything out so it is easy to wrap.
